Dr. Shaquinta D. Bevans is a visionary leader, social work professional, and advocate for justice-centered change. With over 20 years of experience spanning social services, workforce development, education, and faith-based community engagement, she brings a unique blend of strategic insight, lived experience, and heart-centered leadership to every project she leads.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Bevans began her career working directly with youth and justice-involved populations in L.A. County. She earned her Doctorate in Social Work from the University of Southern California, where her capstone project—The Empower Faith Initiative—focused on building the capacity of churches to support returning citizens through trauma-informed, faith-rooted strategies.
A certified grant writer, seasoned curriculum designer, and dynamic facilitator, Dr. Bevans is known for her ability to design practical, culturally affirming solutions that create measurable impact. She is also a recognized leader in trauma-informed workforce development and has presented at national conferences, including CWA’s Meeting of the Minds.
